GENERAL INFORMATION:

Electronic recording of any kind may not take place during class without the expressed written consent of the teacher.


No cell phones, I-Pads, or other electronic devices allowed in class, ever.

The ACHS and OUHSD attendance policy and plagiarism policy will be enforced. You are tardy if not sitting silently in your seat prepared for work when the bell rings.


  1. When absent, the student is responsible for getting the make-up assignment. The number of days missed, as long as they are excused, will be the number of days in which the assignment can be made up. This class goes quickly, try to stay ahead.


COURSE DESCRIPTION/OUTLINE:

Integrated Mathematics 2 is a grade 10 level math courses that integrates high school conceptual categories of Number and Quantity, Algebra, Function, Geometry, and Statistics

and Probability into a two semester course. This course is comprised of California Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CA CCSSM) selected from the high school

conceptual categories, which were written to encompass the scope of content and to be addressed throughout grades 9-12 rather than through any single course. The course is designed to prepare students for the natural progression to higher math courses, specifically Integrated Mathematics 3H and Pre-Calculus.

RECOMMENDED MATERIALS :

Spiral notebook, lined paper, graph paper, pencils, colored pencils, protractor, compass, straight edge ruler, and calculator - graphing calculator preferred (TI 83 or higher). All homework, quizzes and tests must be done in pencil. Pens are ok for notes. Be as neat and

organized as possible.


GRADING:

When absent, the student is responsible for getting the make-up assignment. The number of days missed, as long as they are excused, will be the number of days in which the assignment can be made up.

A cumulative point system will be used.

• Grades will be posted and updated on ParentVue

• If you miss a quiz with an excused absence, your test percentage will also be your quiz percentage. If you miss a quiz or test with an unexcused absence, your score will be a zero.

Traditional grading scale will be used: .

A=90- 100% B = 80- 89% C = 70- 79% D= 60-69% F0-59%

POINTS ARE EARNED ON:

Quizzes 5 - 50 points each

Homework 4 points per assignment .

Chapter Tests . 100 - points

• Final Exam 200 points

  1. Notebook & 5 Minute Checks 50-points


HOMEWORK;

Will be assigned daily and is due at the beginning of class the next day .

All work must be shown •

• Circle or highlight your answers

Will be graded as followed:

4 points if all of the assignment is complete

3 points if up to % of the assignment is complete

2 points if % of the assignment is complete

1 point if less than % of the assignment is complete

Late work is accepted for % credit, as long as we are still in that chapter (due by the day the chapter test is taken)

NOTE: All of the aforementioned rules and policies may be changed at the discretion of the teacher.
